How to use our charging equipment
Pull up
Find your nearest available charging point using the interactive map on our app or website.
Plug in
For a rapid charger use the cable provided and plug this into your car. For a fast charger connect your own cable into your car and into the charger. The chargers screen will notify you once it’s connected.
Tap Card
Tap your debit/credit card on the contactless reader to activate charger. The screen will confirm that your charge has started, along with the total kw’s being provided to your vehicle.
Finish
Once you have enough charge, tap your debit/credit card again to stop charge and unlock cable from your vehicle. Invoices can be downloaded from the app or by scanning the QR code on the charger screen.

Factors that affect your EV charging speed:

Vehicle charging capabilities
Each EV has a different maximum charge speed based on its make and model. Check car manual for max charging speed.

Current state of charge
If your battery is below 20% or above 80%, your vehicle will protect the battery by reducing the charging speed.

Battery temperature
A warm battery charges more efficiently. If your battery is cold, it will need to warm up before charging at optimal speed.

Ambient temperature
Below 20°C: Charging may take longer as energy is used to heat the battery first.
Above 25°C: Charging may slow down as energy is redirected to cool the battery.

FAQS
What is the difference between AC and DC?
AC is a considered a ‘fast’ charger which can be from 7.4kW to 49kW. This takes considerably longer to charge a car in comparison to a DC which is 50kW and above.
